The Sleuth
A downloadable playbook
Maybe you’re a kid detective, or a brooding private eye, but you’ve always had a natural talent for getting involved in mysteries. Luckily, you’ve got enough smarts to solve those mysteries, and more than enough moxie to catch the culprit red-handed.
The Sleuth is a playbook for Riley Hopkins's Interstitial, which you can buy on itch.io or on their personal website. It's a playbook based on fictional detectives like L from Death Note, Holland March from The Nice Guys, Phryne Fisher from Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, and Juno Steel from The Penumbra Podcast. The moves within are designed to support either a plucky detective who sniffs out clues and makes logical deductions, or a jaded investigator who skulks around the edges of a mystery and gets into plenty of unlucky scrapes.
Fake your own death! Hire an assistant who's more practical than you! Get yourself an intellectual rival! All that and more in The Sleuth's playbook. Now updated for Interstitial 2e!
Special thanks to Riley and Sasha for the playbook layout resources!

absolutely love this playbook! i'm extremely excited to use it in a 2E campaign as battler from umineko. however, i was also hoping to use it in a 1e oneshot. is there any way to still get the 1e version? thanks!
